Manufacturing Engineer

Job duties:

We are looking for an individual to evaluate, plan, engineer and execute initiated or assigned projects for the purpose of increasing safety, productivity and quality while optimizing costs.

Job requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Performs engineering work related to planning, devising, or adapting methods to improve the
manufacturing production process.
2. Works with requirements or instructions to design and develop new components or redesign existing
components to improve company products.
3. Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing process methods, utilizing knowledge of product
design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities,
assembly methods, and quality control standards.
4. Examines equipment, processes, and operations to suggest improvements. Carries out changes and
monitors operations standards.
5. Confers with and coordinates outside contractor activity. Coordinates internal resources as necessary to
support those activities.
6. Evaluates vendor proposals to determine product specifications and arranges for purchases of
equipment, materials or parts. Negotiates pricing and evaluates sourcing alternatives.
7. Performs process improvements and optimization by applying DOE and statistical tolerance methods.
8. Performs data analysis to evaluate project justification or guide decision making. Estimates project
costs and authors formal project justifications.
9. Maintains accurate project documentation.
10. Performs CAD layout, design, and documentation.
11. Conducts meetings as needed to coordinate project activity.
12. Actively participates in training to maintain knowledge of new systems and equipment.
13. Evaluates new technologies and equipment.
14. Performs other duties and responsibilities as apparent and/or assigned.
